SARI:
SARI Therapeutic Riding is pleased to announce the arrival of a new therapy horse, Antoinette, affectionately known as “Toni,” made possible through the incredible generosity of 100+ Women Who Care London and Area.
This is a significant win for SARI. In March, 100+ Women Who Care London and Area awarded over $10,000 to support the organization. That funding directly enabled the purchase of Toni, her safe transport to SARI, and the essential equipment needed to begin her role in the program.
Toni has now begun her introduction to SARI’s riding program last week, and is already settling into her new environment. She will play an important role in supporting people with disabilities to work toward their physical, communicative, and cognitive goals.
Lisa Citton-Battel, Executive Director at SARI executive director Lisa Citton-Battel said, “Toni is a big girl with an even bigger heart, and her calm, gentle demeanour makes her ideally suited to life as a therapy horse. Staff and volunteers have already fallen in love with her, and SARI knows participants will too. We are deeply grateful to 100+ Women Who Care London and Area for this extraordinary gift and the immediate impact it will have on our participants and programs.”
