From the Vault:
“One of the proudest accomplishments during my career to-date involves my involvement with the London Majors Baseball Club of the semi-professional Intercounty Baseball League. My roles included ball chaser, scoreboard operator, fill-in bat boy, PA announcer, radio and TV colour and play-by-play announcer, print and new media reporter, team photographer, team media relations director, original alumni director, 3B coach and relief pitcher. In fact, no one during the club’s 100-year history played so many roles. I had a blast taking photos over the years, which covered both the aluminum and wood bat eras. Here’s an old-school pic I re-created in 1998 with (L-R) Pete Mendham, Kevin Thomas, Derek Masse and Kirk Martin. Two years later, three of the four would be my Majors teammates. This is one of my favourite photos from my Majors photo album.” – LondonOntarioSports.com editor Jeffrey Reed
