Mobility Massage London Welcomes RMT Ian Wilson

Registered massage therapy is today a staple of personal wellness, combining healing for body, mind and spirit. And while everyone can benefit the services of a professional registered massage therapist (RMT), there’s no denying that athletes – from weekend warriors to elite competitors – are big-time beneficiaries of sports massage.

RMT Ian Wilson of Mobility Massage London at 509 Highbury Avenue is passionate about helping others through the healing power of registered massage therapy. A graduate of the highly-regarded Registered Massage Therapy program at Mohawk College in Hamilton, Ont., Wilson combines his love of sports with his mission of assisting people of all ages with maximizing their quality of life.

An all-around athlete who has experienced his own setbacks from injuries on the playing field, Wilson has seen first-hand how registered massage therapy can assist the healing process. Today, with sports science expertise in anatomy and biology, Wilson welcomes current and new clients to the Mobility Massage London wellness centre.

“As an athlete myself, I’ve suffered several sports injuries, including broken and sprained ankles, a separated clavicle and an Achilles tear. I’ve turned these injuries into a positive, though, because I now have a greater insight into sports injuries and how they can be treated in an effective manner. And now I look forward to further work with athletes of all ages and abilities in London,” Wilson said.

At Mobility Massage London, a complete team of multi-discipline healthcare professionals offer each and every client a warm welcome, and provide attentive, one-on-one care to help them enjoy life to the maximum. There’s no cold, clinical atmosphere here – only a warm ambiance and the very best in registered massage therapy provided by Wilson. With specialties in sports massage, as well as trigger point therapy, myofascial release, deep tissue massage and joint mobilizations, Wilson is a valuable part of the Mobility Massage London team, according to company founder and owner/operator Andrea Agora.

“Ian is an exceptional RMT. His knowledge of the human anatomy, its structure and its functions allow him to arrive at the most effective treatments for each of his clients within a growing practice. His passion is evident, and is easily recognized by his clients. We’re thrilled to have Ian as part of our busy wellness centre, and see him as a true benefit to the local sports community who seek registered massage therapy,” Agora said.

While registered massage therapy is a key element of any athlete’s well-being, an RMT is an important healthcare professional to anyone’s life. In fact, the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario said, “Massage therapy treatment has a therapeutic effect on the body and optimizes health and well-being by acting on the muscular, nervous and circulatory systems. Physical function can be developed, maintained and improved; and physical dysfunction and pain and the effects of stress can be relieved or prevented through the use of massage therapy.”

Said Wilson, “RMTs are adept at assessing your muscles and dealing with any major points of tension. Massage therapy helps with stress management, anxiety, pain relief, poor posture, joint and capsular problems, just to name a few of its benefits. Whether you see an RMT for stress or pain management, general physical maintenance or relaxation, a massage will help you in your journey towards reaching your optimum quality of life.”

Communication is also important to Wilson, who will guide you through a detailed, confidential client health history form prior to your initial massage. He will also communicate with you prior to each of your following appointments to make sure your needs are met during that individual treatment. And following your massage treatments, Wilson will discuss with you how you are feeling, and how you can care for yourself before your next visit, as it relates to massage therapy and its benefits.

The private, individual massage rooms at Mobility Massage London are clean, quiet, cozy and warm. There is free parking in front of the wellness centre, and on adjacent streets. And it’s easy to book appointments in person or by telephone. Cash, debit, Visa and Mastercard are accepted.

Said Wilson, “As a professional RMT, I will work with you to the very best of my ability when creating custom treatments, so I can help you be the best version of you through optimum health through massage therapy.”
