Update March 26: Citing costly repairs, the new owners of the Fitness Forum have decided to close the facility rather than continue with renovations and updates.
Long-time London-based gym Fitness Forum is alive and well and living in White Oaks, thanks to a game plan from new owner Yahya Mahmoud.
Facing demolition and townhome developments in 2024, the 1985-opened gym – now known as Fitness Forum London – is undergoing a series of badly-needed changes and updates to its offerings and amenities, according to Mahmoud, an Oakville-based entrepreneur and financial planner. He purchased the Jalna Boulevard gym from owner Alex Pinchin.
A popular fitness hub for south London residents, Fitness Forum London will keep its pool but is re-purposing its squash courts while upgrades to structural and interior amenities are ongoing.
Diabetes Canada and WSIB are new program partners as the gym further embraces a lifestyle wellness theme.
