Rotary Clubs Better Local Rink

Six local Rotary clubs have contributed $50,000 to the City’s park and recreation department installation of a $450,000 refrigeration system at the Covent Garden Market Rotary Rink.

The new ammonia-based refrigeration replaces the 2000-installed R22 refrigeration system being phased out by the feds.

In 1999, the Rotary clubs donated $120,000 for the rink installation, which will now offer skaters smoother ice.
