Mt. Brydges’ Cole Pearn Ready For Indy 500

Cole Pearn of Mt. Brydges will serve as lead engineer for driver Conor Daly in August, and at the pushed-forward August 23 Indianapolis 500.

Pearn, the 2017 NASCAR Cup series champ, is now part of the Ed Carpenter Racing team and will help oversee Daly’s No. 47 U.S. Air Force Chevrolet entry at the Brickyard.

The Indy 500 traditionally runs in late May, but had been delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Pearn was crew chief for driver Martin Truex and the Furniture Row Racing team who won the 2017 NASCAR Cup. He’s been filling the role of analyst with NASCAR.com.
