City Bridging Gaps

London City council approved a $6.2-million contract to J-AAR Excavating to link Ross Park with the North London athletic fields.

As part of the Thames Valley Parkway, the link will give an estimated 50,000 more Londoners access to the pathways.

Meanwhile, Blackfriars Bridge will remain closed to weekday vehicle traffic for six weeks as workers complete renovations to the historic bridge. The south sidewalk remains open to pedestrians.

And council has approved the One River environmental assessment which now includes two plans for improving the riverfront at the forks of the Thames.
