Canadian Paralympic Committee statement regarding IPC and IOC renewed agreement

PyeongChang, March 10, 2018 – The International Paralympic Committee and International Olympic Committee today announced a renewed partnership through 2032, signing an agreement that will see the two organizations work together long-term to enhance the Paralympic movement.

Statement from Marc-André Fabien, President, Canadian Paralympic Committee:

“The Canadian Paralympic Committee is thrilled to learn of the renewed partnership between the International Paralympic Committee and International Olympic Committee for another 14 years. This is great news for the Paralympic movement in Canada as we seek to further develop parasport across the country and provide more Canadians with a disability the opportunity to try sport. We look forward to our continued partnership with our counterparts at the Canadian Olympic Committee for many Games to come. Our talented Paralympic athletes have incredible stories of adversity, dedication, and triumph and we are excited to share their stories here in PyeongChang and beyond.”
