Nats Draw First Blood

Wednesday at Western Fair Sports Centre, the London Nationals did all of their scoring in the second period, then held on to win, 4-3, against the LaSalle Vipers in their best-of-seven quarter-final opener.

After a scoreless first period, Michael Boushy scored twice, and Eric Guest and Cameron Krupa added singles to give London a 4-0 lead heading into the third period.

Three unanswered goals from Ray Hamlin, Stephane Crevier and Hayden Heinrich made it a 4-3 game.

Brock Baier stopped 25 shots for the win.
