Cyclones Win In OT

Sunday at Western Fair Sports Centre, Chayse Heerfort scored at 2:57 in overtime to give the Listowel Cyclones a 2-1 win over the London Nationals in their best-of-seven Sutherland Cup semifinal.

The Nats lead the series 2-1. Game 4 goes Tuesday in Listowel.

Sunday, after two scoreless periods, Listowel’s Steven Grant opened third period scoring at 6:15, but the Nats’ Josh Castle answered back with an unassisted goal at 12:47.

There were only three penalties in the game.

London out shot Listowel 47-19. Nats netminder Zachary Springer picked up the win.
