Cyclones Take Series Lead

Sunday at Western Fair Sports Centre, the Listowel Cyclones took a 2-1 lead in their Sutherland Cup semifinal with a 5-2 win over the London Nationals.

Game four goes Tuesday in Listowel.

Brandon Glover opened the scoring to give London a 1-0 lead in the first. But Listowel scored five straight goals, including a hat trick from Brady Anderson, to put this one away. Tyson Kielt scored London’s second goal in the third.

Cyclones netminder Max Wright recorded the win, making 19 saves. Listowel out shot London, 23-21.
