Storm Beat Knights

Tuesday at Budweiser Gardens, the London Knights held onto a 1-0 lead almost halfway into the third before bowing to the Guelph Storm, 3-1.

Jonathan Gruden scored his 23rd of the season just 56 seconds into the game. After a scoreless second frame, the Guelph stormed back with three unanswered goals on losing netminder Brett Brochu.

After Ben McFarlane scored a shorthanded goal at 7:28 of the third, Eric Uba scored back-to-back goals. His 21st of the season was the game winner at 18:55, and his 22nd was an empty netter.

Brochu stopped 34 shots, while winning goalie Nico Daws stopped 37 shots.
