Foudy OT Goal Gives Knights Win Over Soo

Sunday at GFL Memorial Gardens, Liam Foudy scored on the power play just 35 seconds into overtime to give the London Knights a 6-5 win over the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds.

The Soo led 2-1 after the first period, but the Knights led 4-3 going into the third period.

Two quick goals by Jaromir Pytlik and Jaden Peca put the Soo back on top 5-4 early in the final frame. But Josh Nelson’s goal at 12:57 in the third tied the game 5-5.

London out shot the Soo, 39-31.

Rookie Brett Brochu replaced Dylan Myskiw in net for London after Peca’s goal at 4:30 in the third period. He stopped all nine shots faced.
