Boxing Event Fights Homelessness

A boxing fundraiser putting amateur pugs in the ring will do its part to knock out homelessness amongst youth in London.

Fight to End Homelessness, organized by Brett Lucier and Adam Malamis, is staged for RBC Place London on November 13. This is no ordinary boxing card. The duo are asking local businesspeople and politicians to put up their dukes to aid an estimated 1,000 homeless families in London.

The bouts will last one round – three minutes – each, and will support Youth Opportunities Unlimited which plans to build a 30-bed youth shelter.

Lucier and Malamis hope to make this an annual event.

Those wishing to step into the ring have a July 5 application deadline. Ticket sales launch in September.
