SARI Therapeutic Riding is proud to announce the expansion of the facility and the official opening of four new stalls.
To celebrate this important milestone, SARI has invited supporters and members of the media to a ribbon cutting ceremony on September 16 at 2 p.m.
This expansion marks the beginning of a new chapter for SARI. With the addition of four new stalls, SARI is able to welcome new herd members to programming. This means that SARI can serve up to 35 new program participants annually, increasing capacity from 350 to approximately 385 participants each year.
“This expansion represents so much more than just physical space,” said SARI Executive Director Lisa Citton-Battel. “It means more opportunities for people with disabilities to experience the joy, connection, and confidence that comes from working with horses. We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who helped bring this project to life.”
The new stalls were built thanks to the generous donation of labour and expertise by Doug Wastell and his team at Wastell Homes, Langford Lumber and with architectural plans donated by Strik, Baldinelli, Moniz.
Said SARI, “We are also grateful to our stall sponsors for their meaningful support and our volunteers also worked tirelessly through the heat this summer to complete the project. We thank them sincerely and deeply for their extraordinary efforts.”
As part of the event, SARI also launches its new Kubota RTV, generously donated by John Williams and the team at Hyde Park Equipment, which is already playing a key role in maintaining grounds and paddocks, and in supporting SARI’s horses’ daily care.
