From St. Thomas Sports Spectacular:

Tickets for the 42nd Annual St. Thomas Sports Spectacular are now on sale. There is no doubt they will be in high demand with a head table consisting of current and past Toronto sports stars, and WWE Wrestling legends.

1996 American League Cy Young Award winner Pat Hentgen, and former Toronto Maple Leafs Captain Rick Vaive are among the 10 celebrities who have confirmed their attendance at St. Anne’s Centre on January 23, 2020.  Toronto Blue Jays catcher Reese McGuire and Olympian Sarah Wells (2nd place on The Amazing Race Canada) are among the current Toronto-based stars who will also be speaking, mingling and signing autographs for the patrons.

Wrestling fans will be thrilled to hear that WWE Hall of Famer Tito Santana and WWE Diva legend Kelly Kelly will also be here.  Santana is a two-time Intercontinental Champion and two-time Tag Team title holder, while Kelly Kelly (AKA Barbie Blank) is an actress and model who recently became the first female 24/7 Champion.

NHL legend Terry O’Reilly will be the featured speaker with tales from his days as a player and coach of the Boston Bruins. Detroit Tigers legend Darrell Evans will provide stories from the 1984 World Series championship, and Canadian Olympic Softball star Jenny Caira will round out the list of current confirmed celebrities.

Blue Jays broadcaster Mike Wilner will be back for his sixth year as Emcee. Wilner has become a full-time member of the broadcast team this year, handling play-by-play and colour commentary duties for the Fan 590 in Toronto.

Tickets for the event are $75 each and include a buffet dinner, autographs, photo opportunities and speeches by the head table. They are available through a committee member, at Fan of the Sport on Talbot Street or online at our website: http://www.stthomassportsspectacular.com.

Founded in 1978 by Father Pat Costello, the annual event has raised over $500,000 for St. Thomas Special Olympics, and Community Living Elgin.  Guests will hear from a great lineup of celebrities, be able to bid on great prizes at the silent and live auctions and can mingle with the head table guests.
