Tessa Barbie Doll Gift To Skater

London’s Tessa Virtue now has her own Barbie doll – literally.

Toy maker Mattel, as part of its 60th anniversary, and in celebrating International Women’s Day, has honoured 20 role models from 18 countries.

Mattel’s Lisa Perry said her team worked closely with Virtue to create her likeness, and to honour the Londoner as an ice breaker when it comes to “showing girls that you can be anything.”

There’s more on Virtue’s Barbie doll and others here.

Virtue, 29, is this year’s mentor with FitSpirit, a national movement encouraging Canadian girls to discover the benefits and fun of being physically active. Read more here.
